The yellowish-brown to green eel has an orange head and a yellow border around its tail, growing up to 4 feet in length. Their powerful jaws have sharp fang-like teeth and their tubed nostrils give them an excellent sense of smell. They are nocturnal staying in crevices and holes during the day. They feed on reefs, fish and crabs.
