You will need:
- Pen or pencil
- Paper (to record your findings)
- One cup of water
- Ball
Take this fun experiment to learn which eye, hand or foot is dominant.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Take the paper, and write ‘Left’ and ‘Right’ on top, making 2 columns.
- After each experiment, note down which side of your body is more dominant.
- Once records are created, draw conclusions.
Eye: To identify which eye is dominant, try the following. Which eye do you wink with?
Hand: The hand with which you write is mostly your dominant hand. For further proof, try picking up a cup of water with any one hand.
Foot: Throw a ball. Try to run forward and jumping off one leg. Which leg is it? While playing a sport, which leg do you favour to kick the ball?
RESULT
It is a fact that 90% of the people in the world are right-handed, whereas 80% are right-footed and a lesser percentage of those—70% favour their right eyes. This is because our body seems to have more freedom to choose which eye or foot to use as the dominant one.
