Once, a ship was caught in a terrible storm. The ship was completely wrecked. One of the sailors had a pet monkey with him. Everyone fell into the sea, and the monkey was sure that he would drown. Suddenly, a dolphin came to his rescue and picked him up. She dropped him on an island. The dolphin asked the monkey, “Do you know this island?” The monkey lied, “Yes, I do. In fact, the king of the island is my best friend. Do you know that I am actually a prince?” Now, the dolphin knew that no one lived on the island. She said, “Oh! So, now you can be a king!” The monkey asked, “How can I be a king?” The dolphin replied, “As you are the only creature on this island, you will naturally be the king!” The lying monkey was left stranded on the island.
Moral: Lying never gets you anywhere.
