The Tail’s Tale

Once, there was a serpent. As is known, the serpent’s head moves first and its tail moves last. But the tail did not like moving last. It wanted to lead the serpent. One day, the tail argued with the head, “You always move first. I have to follow you.” The head smiled and replied, “I lead you because I have eyes and a brain.” However, the tail insisted, “You must let me lead you for a few days.” So, the head finally gave in. Thus, the tail began to lead and the serpent had to move backwards for a long time. However, since the tail did not have eyes, it did not see the edge of a valley. Soon, the serpent fell into the valley and got wounded. After that the tail never insisted to lead.
